Am 16. Juli 2024 ist der der Wissenschafts- und Technologiepark Adlershof erneut Austragungsort des Falling Walls Lab Berlin-Adlershof. Der Vorentscheid bietet dem wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs die Chance, Forschungsprojekte, Ideen und Initiativen mit gesellschaftlicher Relevanz zur diesjährigen Falling Walls Science Summit als „Breakthrough of the Year in the Emerging Talent Category“ zu präsentieren. Die Veranstaltung findet im hybriden
Format statt. Die Vorträge werden in Präsenz gehalten und Gäste sind herzlich willkommen. Wir bieten auch einen Livestream für Interessierte an.
Das Falling Walls Lab dient als Plattform für Innovation und Austausch zwischen wissenschaftlichem Nachwuchs und Young Professionals aus aller Welt und ist Teil der Falling Walls Community, die führende Spitzenforscher*innen, ihre aktuellen Durchbrüche in der Forschung und Lösungen für globale Herausforderungen zusammenbringt.
Eingeladen sind Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen aus ganz Deutschland, um ihr Thema in 3-minütigen Pitches zu präsentieren.
Teilnehmen können Wissenschaftler*innen, deren höchster Abschluss
- die Promotion ist, die höchstens 5 Jahre zurück liegt,
- der Master/Diplom ist, der/das höchstens 7 Jahre zurück liegt
- der Bachelor ist, der höchstens 10 Jahre zurück liegt
Eingeschriebene Studierende können ebenfalls teilnehmen.
Die Gewinnerin bzw. der Gewinner erhält schließlich die Gelegenheit, das Thema im Rahmen des Falling Walls Science Summit vom 7. bis 10. November 2024 zu präsentieren.
Darüber hinaus erhält der 1. Platz des Falling Walls Lab Berlin-Adlershof ein Preisgeld in Höhe von 500 €, das durch den IGAFA e. V. ausgelobt wird.

On July 16, 2024, the Science and Technology Park Adlershof will once again host the Falling Walls Lab Berlin-Adlershof. The preliminary competition offers young scientists the chance to present research projects, ideas and initiatives with social relevance to this year’s Falling Walls Science Summit – „Breakthrough of the Year in the Emerging Talent Category“. A on-site event is planned at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) in Adlershof with live streaming.
The Falling Walls Lab serves as a platform for innovation and exchange between young scientists and young professionals from all over the world and is part of the Falling Walls Community, which brings together leading top researchers to present their current research breakthroughs and solutions to global challenges.
Young scientists from all over Germany are invited to present their work in 3-minute pitches.
Participation is open to scientists whose highest degree is
- the doctorate, which is not more than 5 years old,
- the master’s degree/diploma, which is not more than 7 years old
- the Bachelor’s degree, which is not older than 10 years
Enrolled students can also participate.
Finally, the winner will have the opportunity to present his/her topic at the Falling Walls Science Summit, November 7–10, 2024.
The winner of the Falling Walls Lab Berlin-Adlershof will also receive a prize money of 500 €, offered by IGAFA e. V.
